Thu, Mar 20, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Cross Country Ranked In Preseason Poll Posted: Friday, September 5, 2008 NEW ORLEANS, La. - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's cross country teams have received rankings in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III preseason poll. The Blugold women are ranked third in the national poll and are also the highest ranked team in the Midwest region. Last year the Blugolds finished as WIAC Championships for the first time since 1985, and took second at the NCAA regionals and eighth at nationals. The men are also tied for 34th in the preseason poll. In 2007 the Blugold men finished sixth in the WIAC and 16th at the NCAA Regionals. The Blugolds' season begins today when they host the Hokum Karem Race at Lowes Creek County Park in Eau Claire. The women's race will get underway at 4 p.m. while the men will run at 5 p.m. - KM - |
