Men's Cross Country Battles Stout

LAKE WISSOTA - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team was in action Friday afternoon, when took part in a non-scored dual meet against UW-Stout.
The Blugolds took seven of the top 10 places, including the first three. Adam Condit (Sr.-La Crosse/Central) was the top runner on the day, finishing the course in a time of 15:45. Ethan Kreul (Jr.-Poynette) and Ben Schmiege (Sr.-Madison/Lakeside Lutheran) finished second and third with times of 15:47 and 15:59 respectively.
The next Blugold finisher was Ted Lillie (So.-North St. Paul, MN), who took sixth place in a time of 16:18. Teammate Adam Wolfe (Fr.-Marshfield) finished just one second back in seventh place while Micah Hernandez (Sr.-Milwaukee/Wisconsin Lutheran) finished in eighth with a time of 16:20. Adam Zamzow (Fr.-Green Bay/Preble) rounded out the top 10 with a time of 16:24.
The men will be back in action next Saturday, when they head to River Falls for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship. The competition is set to kick off at 11:00 a.m.
