Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Tennis Falls To Gustavus Adolphus Posted: Saturday, March 1, 2008 ST. PETER, Minn. - After winning its last five meets, the UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Gustavus Adolphus College here today. The Blugolds are now 11-3 on the season, while Gustavus improves to 7-1. Eau Claire was unable to get into a rhythm and dropped all its singles' matches in straight sets. Kevin Fawcett (So.-Madison, Wis./Verona) played close in the first set, but ended up losing 7-5. He then lost the match, falling 6-1 in the second set. The rest of the singles matches were not as close. The only win for the Blugolds today was at No. 3 doubles. The duo of C.J. Rose (Sr.-Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley) and Aaron Johnson (Fr.-Elk River, Minn.) was able to defeat Gustavus' Jethwa Ashok and Ted Roth 8-6. Rose and Johnson remain undefeated in doubles play this season, sporting a 6-0 record. The Blugolds will not be off for two weeks before they head to South Carolina for a spring break trip.
