Men's Golf Ninth At Gordin Collegiate

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team is in ninth place after shooting a 300 at the first round of the Gordin Collegiate Classic.
The University of Redlands is in first with a 291 followed by Emory University with a 292 and Guilford College at 293. Mike Lebow of Emory is in first individually with a 69.
Derek Pirkl (Jr.-Stoughton) was the top Blugold golfer today shooting a 72 and finishing the day tied for ninth. Tyler Leis (So.-Reedsburg) is two shots back of Pirkl with a 74.
Mike Greer (So.-White Bear Lake, MN) shot a 76 followed by Mason Milner (Fr.-Onalaska) with a 78 and Grant Lissick (Jr.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) with an 81.
The tournament will continue tomorrow.
