EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team will look to make it two wins in a row when they host Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent UW-Oshkosh Saturday.

The Blugolds moved to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the WIAC with an 8-1 win over Stevens Point Monday.

Eau Claire mixed up the order against the Pointers with Liz Deprey (Fr.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) earning a 6-0, 6-1 win at six singles in her first match as a Blugold. Eau Claire also paired Lindsey Lee (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) and Kristie Carlson (Fr.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) together for the first time and the duo walked away with an 8-0 win at three doubles.

Katie Kuzma (Jr.-Buffalo, MN) and Sarah Riordan (Fr.-Appleton/North) won convincingly at one and two singles to improve their records to 7-5 and 4-5, respectively. Kuzma and Laura Geissler (So.-Coon Rapids, MN) reunited at one doubles after a match apart to win 8-3 and improve to 2-4.

The Titans come into the weekend with a 2-2 overall record in dual meets but 0-2 in WIAC action. Oshkosh fell to both UW-River Falls and UW-La Crosse in a triangular last weekend and will meet up with UW-Stout before facing Eau Claire.

Lauren Young has the best Titan record at 6-2 while playing mostly at two singles while Andrea Nauer is 5-3 while playing mostly at six singles. Young and Mercedes Blanch have teamed to go 2-2 at one doubles.

The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
