Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women Runners Seventh At Pre-Nationals Posted: Friday, October 1, 2004 COLFAX - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team finished in seventh place out of 22 teams here today at the NCAA Division III Pre-National Meet held at the White Tail Golf Course. The Blugolds will be hosting the Division III National Championships on November 20, also at the White Tail Golf Course. UW-Stevens Point took first place in the Pre-Nationals with 50 points while UW-La Crosse was second with 88 points. Emory, Macalester, St. Olaf, and St. Thomas rounded out the top six while the Blugolds grabbed seventh with 229 points. Eau Claire newcomer Molly Warner (Fr.-Mosinee) paced the Blugolds with a time of 23:07.6, good for 13th place overall. Korah Petrasko (So.-Appleton/East)finished second on the Eau Claire team and 20th overall in a time of 23:26.6 while Jane Ovanin (Jr.-Amherst) finished 44th overall with a time of 23:57.6. Christina Locke (So.-Racine/Horlick) was 69th overall with a time of 24:20.1 while Heather Lipinski (Sr.-Thorp) was 83rd overall with a time of 24:34.6. Jenna Mitchler of Stevens Point was the individual winner with a time of 22:14.0 and Jessica Griffin of North Central (IL) was second in a time of 22:20.9. The Blugolds will next be in action October 9 when they travel to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the Wartburg Invite.
