Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Schiesel Named WIAC Athlete Of The Week Posted: Tuesday, October 30, 2007 MADISON, Wis. - UW-Eau Claire soccer player Jamie Schiesel (Fr. -Plymouth, MN/Armstrong) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player of the week, conference spokesman Matt Stanek has announced. Schiesel helped the Blugolds clinch their third straight WIAC championship with a 6-0 victory over UW-River Falls on Oct. 27. She picked up her third and fourth goals of the season in the contest with the first at the 35:50 mark of the first half off a header from a corner kick to give UW-Eau Claire a 2-0 lead. About five minutes later, Schiesel tallied an unassisted goal. - KM - |
