Sun, May 26, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Swimming & Diving Roster Announced Posted: Thursday, October 18, 2007 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Late last week, second year head coach Jerry Kollross released the 2007-2008 UW-Eau Claire women's swimming and diving roster. With a total of 18 freshmen, the roster consists of a lot of new faces this year. The freshmen who earned spots on the roster this year are Ashley Alitz (Hastings, MN), Angie Bakula (Appleton, WI/West), Lydia Beranek (Onalaska, WI), Megan Finley (Waunakee, WI), Lesleigh Heyes (Minocqua, WI/Lakeland Union), Mari Kissell (Apple Valley, MN), Jamie Lambrecht (Shakopee, MN), Katie Lewis (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Lincoln), Megan Linder (Muskego, WI), Hannah Ortscheid (Wausau, WI/West), Randi Osgood (Muskego, WI), Siera Schenck (Sun Prairie, WI), Mandy Smith (Hales Corners, WI/Whitnall), Jessica Stemen (Park Falls, WI/Marshfield), Andrea Strub (Madison, WI/Memorial), Alyssa Trainor (Winona, MN/Cotter), Hannah Ridge (Anoka, WI), and Carolanne Trilling (Verona, WI). This year's team is very young with a fairly large sophomore class of 12 in addition to the huge freshman class. The sophomores on the team are Jaclyn Blank (Byron, MN), Mari Bodensteiner (Red Wing, MN), Andrea Daoust (Kenosha, WI/Tremper), Rachel Erickson (Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial), Ann Grossklaus (Wausau, WI/West), Sara Habermeyer (Brookfield, WI/East), Missy Kleist (Eau Claire, WI/North), Alyssa Mace (Northfield, MN), Marie Massaro (Rochester, MN/Century), Amy Stewart (South Milwaukee, WI), Teresa Swanson (Chaska, MN), and Natalie Warnert (Sauk Rapids, MN/Rice). With such a large portion of the made up of underclassmen, there are only three juniors and six seniors. The three juniors are Rachel Salacinski (Marshfield, WI), Jenna Spicer (Hastings, MN), and Hilary Wilde (Woodbury, MN). The seniors are Jess Bartz (Mauston, WI), Emily Diehl (Prairie du Sac, WI/Sauk Prairie), Sarah Fisher (Milton, WI), Amanda Kroger (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View), Sarah Myers (Eau Claire, WI/North), and Hannah Rivall (Stillwater, MN). Last year the UW-Eau Claire women's swimming and diving team finished with an overall record of 15-7, a dual meet record of 4-3, and a conference record of 3-2. The Blugolds finished the season last year with a third place finish in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships behind UW-Stevens Point and UW-La Crosse. The Blugold swimmers opened their season last Friday with a victory over UW-Oshkosh. Their next meet is this Friday October 18, 2007 at 5 p.m. in McPhee. The Blugolds are hosting Minnesota State University. - TT - |
