Wed, Mar 19, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Cross Country Places Third At Drews/Neubauer Invite Posted: Saturday, October 13, 2007 West Salem, Wisc. - The UW-Eau Claire Women's Cross Country team maintains their momentum with a 3rd place finish out of 27 teams at the Drews/Neubauer Invite, hosted by UW-La Crosse and held at Maple Grove Country Club today. Minnesota won the event with 120 points. UW-River Falls' Becca Jordahl ran a 21:45 and placed first individually. South Dakota State came in second place with 138 points. UW-Eau Claire took third place and garnered 141 points. UW-Platteville followed UW-Eau Claire with 155 points. Nebraska Wesleyan came in fifth with 170 points. The Blugolds' top finisher was Mary Palmer (Jr.-Anoka, MN). Palmer ran a 22:37, which was good enough for 10th place. Molly Warner (Sr.-Mosinee, WI) was right behind Palmer with a 22:48. Warner finished in 13th place. The third Blugold finisher was Beth Lutz (Jr.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial). Lutz finished in 15th place overall and ran a 22:50. Hannah Humbach (So.-Madison, WI/Abundant Life Christian) finished fourth for the Blugolds and ran a 23:25. Humbach finished in 37th place. Jamie Arentz (Jr.-Cashton, WI) followed Humbach in 66th place overall and ran a 23:50. Bridget Bocher (Sr.-Watertown, WI) finished in 83rd place and ran a 24:00. Following Bocher was Senior Amber Hertz (Baraboo, WI). Hertz ran a 24:14 and finished in 104th place overall. Last year at the Drews/Neubauer Invite, the Blugolds took fifth place. Molly Warner and Beth Lutz both placed for the Blugolds last year. Next up for the Blugolds is the Lake Wissota JV Invite on Friday, October 19.
