Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Swimming & Diving start The Season With A Win In Coed Relays Posted: Saturday, October 13, 2007 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving teams teamed up today to take down UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls in the Midwest Coed Relays at McPhee. The Blugolds won all 12 events in today's meet. Eau Claire won with the score of 84, Oshkosh 56, and River Falls coming in with 44 points. In the first event of the day Sarah Myers (Sr.-Eau Claire/North) and Bryan Dykstra (Sr.-Racine, WI/Horlick) led the way for the Blugolds, winning the 3-meter diving competition with the score of 238.00. The butterfly team for the Blugolds took first place in the 400-yard relay with a time of 4:05:24. In the 400-yard backstroke relay the Blugolds came in first with the time of 3:58:87. The Blugolds led the way in the 100-yard freestyle relay finishing first with a time of 47:42. In the fifth event of the afternoon the 800-yard freestyle relay the Blugolds took first with a time of 8:02:51. Bryan took first place in the 1-meter diving with the score of 242.00; she beat out Jacob who scored 219.95. In the 400-yard breaststroke the Blugolds came in first with a time of 4:38:66. The Blugolds also came in first in the 1700-yard freestyle relay with a time of 17:34:99. In the ninth event of the afternoon, the 400-yard medley relay, Eau Claire took first with a time of 3:44:39. The Blugolds took first in the mixed 200-yard relay with a time of 1:39:64. In the final two events of the day, the 400-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle the Blugolds came away with first with times of 4:22:64 and 3:40:02. Up next for the Blugolds is Minnesota State University Mankato on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at McPhee in Eau Claire. - KD - |
