Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf Sits In Three-Way Tie For Seventh Posted: Saturday, September 15, 2007 NORMAL, Ill. - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team finished day one of the Illinois Wesleyan University Golf Classic in a three-way tie for seventh at 330 strokes. The University of Southern Indiana leads at Ironwood Golf Course with 310 strokes. UW-Stevens Point is second with 321 while SIU-Edwardsville and Rend Lake Community College (IL) are tied for third with 322 tallies. St. Ambrose University (IA) follows in fifth place at 324 while the home team sits ahead of the seventh-place logjam with a 328 mark. The other two teams at 330 are Olivet College (MI) and UW-Whitewater. Eau Claire's top golfer is Meghan Sobotta (Sr.-Arcadia), who has a 75 on the par-72 course. She is tied for third out of 123 golfers. Torie Ives (So.-Osseo/Osseo-Fairchild) hit an 82 today to tie for 26th. Bri Obermueller (So.-River Falls) tied for 50th on an 84 performance. Katie Swift (Fr.-Onalaska) and her 89 tied for 84th. Two golfers are tied for the individual lead with 73 strokes. They include Jess Dooley from Southern Indiana and Katie Tewell from 12th-place Franklin College (IN). The 21-team classic finishes up tomorrow. |
