Soccer Set To Host Elmhurst Friday

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's soccer team will look to kick off a four-game home stand on the right note this Friday when they take on Elmhurst University (IL) at 3:00 p.m. at the Bollinger Fields.
The Blugolds snapped a three-game losing streak last Friday when they topped UW-Platteville 5-0 on the road. Eau Claire has a record of 2-3 heading into play on Wednesday, when they will battle St. Olaf in Minnesota. The Bluejays come into the match on Friday with a record of 5-1.
Marcia Foltz (Jr.-Madison/Memorial) leads the Blugold early in the season with seven points. The junior forward/midfielder has tallied three goals and one assist this year. Becky Sitter (Fr.-Waupaca) and Maria Iaizzo (Jr.-White Bear Lake, MN) each have two goals for four points this season.
Monica Milton has led the Bluejays this season with 19 points. Milton has tallied eight goals and three assists on the year. Following Milton is Kelly Huson with two goals and seven assists for 11 points.
The Blugolds lead the all-time series over Elmhurst with a record of 3-1-1. The two teams battled to a 2-2 tie last season in Illinois.
The action is set to begin Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Bollinger Fields in Eau Claire.
