Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Tennis Picks Up First Home Victory Of Season Posted: Monday, March 26, 2007 EAU CLAIRE - Playing in its first home match of the spring season, the UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team won 9-0 over Northwestern College (MN) today. The team moves to 9-7 overall and 9-7 in dual meets. This is the fifth 9-0 Blugold sweep of the year. In doubles play, Tim Eisele (Jr.-Apple Valley, MN) and Brandon Buth (Jr.-Appleton/West) won 8-2 in No. 1 play, as did Phil Loprinzi (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Mayo) and Brett Gressick (Jr.-De Pere) in the No. 2 showdown. Steve Lantz (So.-Rochester, MN/Century) and C.J. Rose (Jr.-Lakeville, MN/Apple Valley) won 8-3 in No. 3 doubles. Eisele won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1 singles while Lantz won with 6-1s in No. 2 play. Aaron Nordenskjold (Sr.-Red Wing, MN) also won with 6-1s at No. 3 singles. Erik Brandner (Jr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) had the closest match of the day with scores of 6-1, 7-6. Gressick had 6-4s in the No. 5 match while Jeff Peterson (Sr.-Edina, MN) completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
