Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Byu-Hawaii Blanks Blugold Netters Posted: Tuesday, March 20, 2007 LAIE, HAWAII - The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's tennis team defeated UW-Eau Claire, 9-0, Tuesday, to remain unbeaten for the season with a record of 7-0. BYU-Hawaii, ranked No. 15 in the NCAA Division II, swept all six singles matches in straight sets and then claimed the three doubles matches to close out the victory. Junyoung Kim at number two singles and Chris Rice at number six singles each sped through their matches to win 6-1, 6-0. Jakub Huza breezed to a 6-2, 6-2 win at number four singles and Tomas Hladil powered his way to a 6-1, 6-3 win at the third singles slot. A.J. Bartlett and Marvin So'onalole each won 6-3, 6-4 at number one and number five singles respectively. Hladil and Huza earned an 8-6 win at number one doubles while So'onalole and Rice were taking an 8-5 win at the second doubles slot and Kim and Victor de Garay were cruising to an 8-3 win at number three doubles. The setback leaves the Blugolds with an 8-6 dual meet record this season. They will continue their spring break campaign when they take on Hawaii Pacific Wednesday in Honolulu.
