Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Track & Field Competes At Warren Bowlus Open Posted: Saturday, February 3, 2007 MENOMONIE - The UW-Eau Claire women's track and field teams continued their successful early season with several top finishes at today's Warren Bowlus Open, though no team scores were kept. On the track the Blugolds took care of business with three top finishes. Shalene Huth (Sr.-Appleton/West) ran the fastest prelim and finals time in the 55-meter dash, winning the event with a 7.45 final. Liz Kooistra (So.-Lakeville, MN) ran a 26.30 200-meter dash for first and Liz Faller (Sr.-Marinette) ran a provisional qualifying 8.38 55-meter hurdles race. Cassie Haak (Sr.-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) had a 2:22.84 800-meter run for the runner-up spot while the 4x400-meter relay squad also took second. They ran a 4:15.98 time. The Blugolds collected a pair of firsts in the field events. Steph Barnes (Sr.-Sauk City/Sauk Prairie) had a 3.55 meter (11? 7 ?") effort in the pole vault, which was a provisional qualification. Jessica Owens (So.-Elm Grove/Brookfield East) claimed the top spot in the high jump with 1.59 meters (5?2 ?"). Alicia Schuelke (So.-Gilman) also had 1.59 meters (5? 2 ?") in the high jump, but took second. In the weight throw, Paula Crossfield (Sr.-Madison/East) had a distance of 15.41 meters (50?6 ?") to place second and nab a provisional qualification.
