Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf Takes Third At Fighting Scots Invite Posted: Saturday, September 11, 2004 MONMOUTH, Ill. - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team shot a combined 335 to finish two shots back of Illinois College and one shot back of Illinois Wesleyan to finish third at the Fighting Scots Invitational held here today at Gibson Woods Golf Course. Maggie Loney (Jr.-River Falls) led the Blugold shooting a three-over 78 to finish alone in second place two strokes back of the winner. Meghan Sobotta (Fr.-Arcadia) shot an 81 to finish in a tie for fifth while Jessica Thompson (So.-Stevens Point/SPASH) tied for 11th with an 84. Rounding out the Blugold scoring was Andrea Kloppman (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) with a 92, Mandy Madsen (Fr.-Ashwaubenon) with a 94, and Sarah Hansen (Fr.-Bangor) with a 118. The Blugold golfers will be in action next when they compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Invite Saturday and Sunday. - JL - |
