Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Soccer Falls To Macalester Posted: Saturday, September 11, 2004 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team fell to Macalester 5-1 here today at Bollinger Fields. The Scots got on the board first scoring 5:45 into the match. Macalester would add two more goals before the end of the half to send the game into half with Eau Claire trailing 3-0. Macalester added two more goals in the second half to go up 5-0 before the Blugolds got on the board. Becky Sitter (Fr.-Waupaca) took a Jill Cope (Jr.-Golden Valley, MN/Hopkins) cross and headed it in to pull Eau Claire within four with 5-1 at the 82:03 mark to conclude the scoring. The Blugolds were outshot 12-5 with the Scots holding a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Annie Scharenbroich (So.-White Bear Lake, MN/South) played most of the game in goal making three saves. The loss drops Eau Claire to 1-3-0 overall.
