Mon, Apr 13, 2026 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Four Blugold Runners On All-Region Team Posted: Monday, November 20, 2006 EAU CLAIRE - Molly Warner (Jr. -Mosinee), Beth Lutz (So. -Eau Claire/Memorial), Cassie Haak (Sr. -Shoreview, MN/Mounds View), and Christina Locke (Sr. -Racine/Horlick) all earned spots in the All-Midwest Region team after placing 35th or better in the NCAA Division III Regionals held at Credit Island Park in Augustana, IL. Warner led the way with a 10th place 21:55.7 finish, which was her fastest time this year. She has finished first for the Blugolds every meet of the year and has claimed overall spots of third, fourth, fifth, 10th and then 33rd at nationals. She took fifth and 10th both on two separate occasions. Lutz finished 20th on a 22:20.5 time. It was also Lutz's season-best time. Lutz has been in the top five for the team four times this year, with her top overall spot being eighth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. Haak's 22:25.9 time was her fastest of the year as she took third for the Blugolds and 23rd overall. Haak has taken third all season for the squad except for a fourth-place finish in the WIAC Championships and a fifth-place run at nationals. Haak has climbed as high as 11th in overall positions, which occurred at the WIAC Championships. She also took 15th at the Blugold Open. Locke took 32nd on a 22:36.0 race, her fastest time of the year by a second. She ran 22:37 at the WIAC Championships the race before. Locke has taken second every race of the year for Eau Claire except in the regionals and nationals, where she took fourth for the team. In overall standings, she has taken seventh, 10th, 13th, 16th, 17th, and 85th at nationals. As a team Eau Claire took fourth out of 38 teams at the regionals on 129 points. They had previously taken runner-up at the WIAC Championships on a 52 score. The Blugold runners grabbed one of 16 at-large bids to compete in nationals. Out of 32 teams, Eau Claire took 12th with 375 points. It was the second-best national performance in school history. |
