Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf In Second After Day One Of Home Invite Posted: Saturday, September 4, 2004 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team shot a 328 and sits just two strokes back of first place after day one of the UW-Eau Claire Invitational held here today at the Mill Run Golf Course. The Blugolds are two strokes back of leader St. Thomas while Illinois Wesleyan shot a 329 and is one stroke back of Eau Claire. Gustavus Adolphus is currently in fourth place with a 330 while Carthage College shot a 333 to round out the top five schools. Blugold Maggie Loney (Jr.-River Falls) is the current leader individually as she shot a front-nine 39 and a back-nine 36 for a 75 on the day. She is two strokes ahead of both Susie Lewis of Stevens Point and Jennifer Young of Oshkosh. Both shot 77's on the day. Meghan Sobotta shot an 82 to tie for ninth place overall while Jesse Thompson (So.-Stevens Point/SPASH) shot an 83 to tie for 18th place. Andrea Kloppman (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) shot an 88 to tie for 34th place overall. The two-day event will conclude tomorrow at the Wild Ridge Golf Course. The start will be a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. |
