Both teams had already clinched their respective regular season conference championships with Eau Claire taking the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and St. Scholastica winning the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).

Maria Iaizzo (Sr.-White Bear Lake, MN) scored her team-leading 14th goal from the cross to start off the scoring. Sam Krueger Fr.-Elkhorn) then scored her first goal of the season at 43:39 to make it 2-0.

After half, Meisinger took assists from Iaizzo and Jessica Millard (So.-Madison/La Follette) at the cross and flicked it in to score the final goal at 51:46.

The Blugolds ousthot the Saints 28-6. Both Allie Rivard (So.-Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) and Liz Weirick (Jr.-Kenosha/Tremper) made one save each between the pipes while their counterpart made eight. Eau Claire was whistled for 14 fouls while St. Scholastica committed 13.

Over the course of the season, the Blugold defense allowed eight goals on 102 chances.
