Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Volleyball Takes Care Of Business At Superior Posted: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 SUPERIOR - The seventh-ranked UW-Eau Claire volleyball team swept UW-Superior tonight 3-0 at Jam the Gym Night in the Mortorelli Gym. Out of their 20 wins this season, it was the 16th time they swept their opponent. The Blugolds now have an overall record of 20-2 and a conference record of 5-1. The Yellowjackets fall to an overall record of 13-14 and a conference record of 0-6. The Blugolds have won 22 straight matches against the Yellowjackets and have swept them in their last six contests. The match can be seen on Fox Sports North on Sunday, October 15th at 2:30 p.m. The Blugolds are currently tied with 13th-ranked UW-Whitewater at the top of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and sixth-ranked UW-Oshkosh is a half game behind. The Blugolds will have some time to rest before their next match as they will travel to face UW-Platteville next Friday (Oct. 20) The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. - JR - |
