Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Tennis Remains Unbeaten In Dual Meets Posted: Saturday, September 16, 2006 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team defeated Luther College 6-3 today taking five of the six singles competitions. The team is 5-0 in dual meets this year. Luther drops to 3-1 with this first loss. Sarah Riordan (Jr.-Appleton/North) won No. 1 singles play with scores of 7-5, 7-6 and then she took the tiebreaker. Gina Dahl (Fr.-Fort Atkinson) took her opponent down in three sets 3-6, 6-3, and 10-7. Kristie Carlson (Jr.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) also needed three sets with scores of 5-7, 6-4, and a dominating 10-2. No. 5 Liz Deprey (Jr.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) won hers 6-3, 6-4. No. 6 Brenna McCormick (Fr.-Greendale) posted scores of 2-6, 6-0, and 10-7. The only doubles pair to win was Riordan and Laura Geissler (Sr.-Coon Rapids, MN). They put up an 8-6 victory.
