Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Golf Hands Out Team Awards For The Past Season Posted: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team and head coach Jim Maguire handed out team awards recently for the past season. Senior Grant Lissick (Sr.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) was named the team's Most Valuable Player. This season Lissick finished in the top five in three of the five events he competed in, including sharing medalist honors at the Bobby Krig Invitational in mid-April. He had the average lowest score on the team in both the fall and spring seasons. Cody Peterson (Fr.-Chippewa Falls, WI/Chi-Hi) was named the team's Rookie of the Year. Peterson had one top-five finish in the fall season and finished no lower than 22nd place in the events that he completed. Tyler Leis (Jr.-Reedsburg, WI) received Most Improved Player honors. Leis had one top five finish for the Blugolds this season and improved in every tournament, finishing in a higher place overall each time. - JR - |
