Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Three Softball Members Named To All-Tournament Team Posted: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 ROCK ISLAND, IL - UW-Eau Claire softball members Mallory McKinney (Jr. -Brooklyn Park, MN/Champlin Park), Mandy Tschernach (Jr. -Rice Lake, WI), and Amber Haack (Jr. -Madison, WI/La Follette) were all named to the Rock Island Regional's All-Tournament Team. Pitcher Mallory McKinney started all five games for the Blugolds in the regional. Through the first four games she allowed just three runs on 18 hits, while striking out 29 in 30 innings pitched. Batters only hit for an average of .196 against her in the five games. Third baseman Mandy Tschernach went 5-for-13 in the five games for the Blugolds. Her .385 batting average was second best on the team. Tschernach drove in three runs and had a slugging percentage of .615 in the five regional games. She also led team in runs scored with three. Left fielder Amber Haack was the third member named to the all-tournament team. Haack batted .333 (5-for-15) for the Blugolds, which was tied for third best on the team. Haack's grand slam home run in the top of the third inning of the final game against Coe College put the Blugolds up momentarily.
