Women's Tennis Falls To St. Olaf

OWATONNA, MN - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team fell to St.Olaf last night by a score of 7-2.

The loss drops the Blugolds to 0-3 in dual meets this spring and 5-7 overall. The win gives St. Olaf a spring dual meet record of 3-2.

The only victories for the Blugolds came from the singles side with No.3 singles player Kristie Carlson (So.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-2.

The other Blugold victory came from No.4 singles player Liz Deprey (So.-Green Bay/Notre Dame), who defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-0.

The Blugolds' Molly Hunt (Jr.-Owatonna, MN) at No. 5 singles lost in tight match 5-7, 6-1, 11-9.

Today, the Blugolds will host the YMCA Mixed Fundraiser, which will be held at the Eau Claire YMCA Tennis Center. There will be two different levels of play with two guaranteed matches.
