Men's Tennis Wins Again, this Time Over St. Olaf

OWATONNA, MN - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team won its second straight meet and have won six of its last seven meets after defeating St. Olaf tonight 5-4.
The Blugolds split the singles matches this evening. The top three were all victorious. Team No.1 Tim Eisele (So.-Apple Valley, MN) rebounded from his loss last week to defeat his opponent 6-3, 7-6.
The No.2 singles player Jake Znidarsich (So.-La Crosse, WI/Central) won his eighth match of the season defeating his opponent in three sets 6-1, 5-7, 7-6. Steve Lantz (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Century) was the final Blugold singles player to win, defeating his opponent at No.3 singles also in three sets 6-2, 5-7, 7-6. This was Lantz's seventh straight win.
The Blugolds came away with two victories on the doubles side. The No.2 team of Znidarsich and Aaron Nordenskjold (Jr.-Red Wing, MN) remained undefeated as they defeated their opponents 8-2. The No.3 team of the C.J. Rose (So.-Apple Valley, MN) and Jeff Peterson (Jr.-Edina, MN) defeated their opponents 8-1.
Tomorrow the Blugolds will host YMCA Mixed Fundraiser, which will be held at the Eau Claire YMCA Tennis Center. There will be two different levels of play with two guaranteed matches.
