Matt Smith (Sr.-Buffalo, MN) had 52-.75 (15.87 meters), Sam Johnson (Fr.-Amery) tallied 51-1.75 (15.59 meters), and Ryan Brohmer (Jr.-La Crosse/Logan) managed 50-2.5(15.30 meters).
Many other Blugolds contributed to the first place day with finishes in the top three. These included Nick Aliota (Jr.-Brookfield/Central) in the 55-meter dash, Bryan Tschudy (Fr.-New Richmond) in the 200-meter dash, Grant Haugan (Fr.-Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) in the 400-meter dash, Jules Miller (So.-Green Bay/East) in the 3000-meter run, Ben Wulterkens (So.-Stanley/Stanley-Boyd) in the high jump and Al Oleson (Jr.-Wausau/West) in the shot put.
