Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Swimming & Diving Earns Three WIAC Athletes Of The Week Posted: Tuesday, January 31, 2006 MADISON - UW-Eau Claire men's diver Scott Heatwole (Sr. -Port Washington), women's diver Chelsea Moore (Plymouth, MN/St. Louis Park) and swimmer Cori Severson (Sr. -Brainerd, MN) have all been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek. Heatwole earned first-place honors in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events in dual meets against UW-Whitewater on January 27 and UW-Oshkosh on January 28, posting two national qualifying scores. Against the Warhawks, Heatwole scored a 280.35 in the one-meter and a 301.75 in the three-meter. Against the Titans, he claimed the one-meter with a 258.50 and the three-meter with a 265.05. Moore won first place in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events in a 167-130 dual meet victory over UW-Whitewater on January 27. She earned a 185.90 in the one-meter and a 166.75 in the three-meter competition. Severson won four events in UW-Eau Claire's 167-130 dual meet victory over UW-Whitewater on January 27. She won the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in times of 24.73 and 54.90, respectively. She was also a member of the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay teams that took top honors. In a 143-94 dual meet victory over UW-Oshkosh on January 28, Severson won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.30. |
