2002-03 Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week
February 17, 2003-February 23, 2003
Swimming: Liz VonFeldt, Jr., Lancaster
Led the Blugolds to a third place finish at the WIAC championships as she finished in the top five in six different events, including four third place finishes. Von Feldt grabbed a third place finish in the 400 yard butterfly competition with a time of 1:00.90 while also notching a second place victory in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:33.43. Von Feldt was also a member of three third place relay teams for the Blugolds. She rounded out her top five finishes with a fifth place outcome in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:33.43.
Diving: Adria Bye, Jr., Appleton (West)
Helped the Blugolds to a third place finish at the Conference championships with third place finishes in both diving events. Bye took the first of her two third place outcomes in the three meter diving event with a score of 296.60. She also finished third in the one meter event with a score of 353.85.

Swimming: Liz VonFeldt, Jr., Lancaster
Had a fabulous day in a dual meet with UW-Oshkosh as the Blugolds beat the Titans 159-141. Von Feldt took first place in three different events in the meet while setting team and season bests in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke competitions. With a time of 1:12.35 the junior swimmer won the 100 yard breaststroke while also taking the 200 yard event with a time of 2:32.89, nearly five seconds ahead of the runner-up. Von Feldt was also a member of the Blugolds' 200 yard freestyle relay team which took first place with a time of 1:41.06.
Diving: Adria Bye, Jr., Appleton (West)
Helped lead the Blugolds to a conference victory over the Titans as she took two second place finishes in the 1 and 3-meter diving events. Bye finished just 3.3 points off a national qualifying score in the 1-meter event with a score of 233.00. Bye also finished in second place in the 3-meter event, finishing with a score of 241.70.
January 27, 2003-February 2, 2003
Swimming: Liz VonFeldt, Jr., Lancaster
Led the Blugolds to a 143-93 victory over conference opponent UW-Whitewater with a victory in the 200 yard butterfly, finishing in a time of 2:19.45, nearly seven second ahead of the second place finisher. Von Feldt was also a member of both the 400 yard medley relay and the 400 yard free relay which each took first place.
Diving: Andrea Lashbrook, Fr., Neenah
Won both diving events in a Blugold victory over conference opponent UW-Whitewater. Lashbrook finished in first place in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 234.00 while also finishing first in the 1-meter diving events, finishing with a score of 204.60.
January 20, 2003-January 26, 2003
Swimming: Cori Severson, Fr., Brainerd, MN
In a dual meet against Macalester College, Severson set the pool record in her leg of the first place Blugolds relay team. Severson also took first place in the 100 meter freestyle. Against River Falls, Severson had second place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly.
Diving: Adria Bye, Jr., Appleton (West)
Finished first in three of the four competitions she competed in this week and took second in her only non-first place finish. Against Macalester College, Bye finished first in the 1 and 3 meter diving events while she finished first in the 3 meter diving event against River Falls and second in the 1 meter diving event.
November 25, 2002-December 1, 2002
Swimming: Liz VonFeldt, Jr., Lancaster
Took the only first place finish for Eau Claire in a dual meet with UW-La Crosse. She took first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.7. She also finished second in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:16.3. Her times in both the 200 yard breaststroke and 200 yard individual medley would place her in the current top three in conference.
Diving: Adria Bye, Jr., Appleton (West)
Finished second in both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events in a dual meet with UW-La Crosse. Her score of 232.5 in the 1 meter diving event was a personal best. She finished the 3 meter diving event with a score of 207.0.
November 18, 2002-November 24, 2002
Swimming: Annie Gorman, Fr., Menomonee
Was a member of both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams that took second in each event at the WIAC Conference Relays. The 200-yard freestyle team finished in a time of 1:41.55 and the 400-yard freestyle team covered the distance in a time of 3:46.09. Both second place finishes were the highest for the Blugolds on the day.
October 28, 2002-November 3, 2002
Swimming: Cori Severson, Fr., Brainerd, MN
Finished first in the 50-yd freestyle event and was the first leg of the 200-yd freestyle relay that took first place in a dual meet with UW-Stevens Point. Cori was also a member of the 400-yd freestyle relay and the 200-yd medley relay teams which took second and third place at the St. Cloud Invitational.
Diving: Andrea Lashbrook, Fr., Neenah
Won both diving events in a dual meet with UW-Stevens Point scoring a 200.54 in the 1-meter event and a 213.10 in the 3-meter event.
