Competing at 141 pounds at the Blugold Open this weekend, Behnke took second place and finished with a 4-1 record on the day. He won four straight matches to advance to the championship and then fell 4-2 to Rylan Lubeck from NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Madison to take second.

Behnke led the Blugolds this weekend at Wheaton College's Pete Willson Invitational. He finished in sixth place at 141 pounds. Behnke had four wins at the invite as he finished with a 4-3 record. He went 4-2 and advanced to the fifth place match Saturday, but came up just short to his opponent 4-3 to take sixth.

Behnke went 2-1 in Whitewater this weekend as he competed at 141 pounds in three dual meets. Friday night in a conference dual against the Warhawks, Behnke narrowly lost 5-3, ending a 12-match winning streak. He bounced back Saturday and picked up two wins as he pinned his opponent from North Central College (Ill.) in 2:25 and followed with another pin in 1:32 over his opponent from Manchester University (Ind.). He is now 26-6 on the season and has won 22 of his past 24 matches.

Competing at Cornell College's Matman Invitational on Saturday, Behnke won the 141-pound weight class, which featured 23 wrestlers. Behnke went 5-0 on his way to winning the title to improve to 24-5 on the season. He started the day with a pin in 2:25 and followed with a 10-3 victory to advance to the quarterfinals. He then got to the semifinals after winning with an 8-0 major decision and advanced to the championship match with an 11-1 major decision victory. In the championship match, Behnke defeated Coe College's Beau Westpfahl in a close match, 2-0.

Behnke went 4-0 this week competing at 141 pounds. Friday he won against conference opponent UW-Oshkosh, pinning his opponent in 5:10 after he got up by a score of 15-2. Saturday at the Concordia (Wis.) Duals, he won by forfeit against Concordia. He followed up with a 10-0 major decision victory against Lakeland and ended the day with a 5-0 decision over Saint John's. Behnke is now 19-5 on the season and has won seven straight matches.

Zackary Sirny, 125 Pounds, Wild Rose, Wis.
Competing at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Duals on Saturday, Sirny went 2-1 as he recorded two pins. He defeated Wheaton's Tom Foy at 125 pounds in 2:38 and beat Maranatha's Zach Zimmerman in 1:15 at 133 pounds.

Mat Rieckhoff, 184 Pounds, Junior, Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest
In two matches Saturday, Rieckhoff was undefeated as he wrestled in two different weight classes. Facing UW-Platteville's Dylan DeShane at 197 pounds, he scored six points after pinning DeShane in 27 seconds. He then followed with a 17-4 major decision victory over St. Olaf College's Mark Shepard at 184 pounds. Rieckhoff is now 9-3 on the season.

Competing in four dual meets this weekend at the Candlewood Suites Duals at UW-La Crosse on Saturday, Behnke won all four of his 141 pound matches, all coming by fall. Against Cornell College (Iowa), Behnke won in 2:05 over Ray Feliz-Taveras. He followed with a win over Darius Leopaul of Waldorf College (Iowa) in 2:03 and then pinned Greg Vance of Loras College (Iowa) in 2:42. Behnke ended the day with a pin in 4:05 over Evan Guffey of Saint John's University (Minn.).

Justin Poirier, 165 Pounds, Freshman, Altoona, Wis.
Competing at the Augsburg Open on Saturday, Poirier won the 165-pound bronze division. He recorded three straight pins to win the title. Against UM-Duluth's Connor Pariseau in the opening round, Poirier won by fall at 2:41 and then pinned another Duluth opponent, Ryan Silbernick, in 4:31 to advance to the championship match. To win the title, Poirier pinned Ivan Alvorez in 5:20.

Mat Rieckhoff, 184 Pounds, Junior, Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest
Rieckhoff took second place at 184 pounds as the Blugolds kicked off the season at the UW-Stevens Point Open on Saturday. Rieckhoff opened the day with a bye and then won his first match with a 5-3 decision. He followed that with a 6-2 win the semifinals but then fell 13-4 to Division II UW-Parkside's Matt Gille in the championship match.
