The group of seniors played in its final home games this weekend, winning 2-0 Friday on Senior Night but falling short 2-1 Saturday. Both games were played against Concordia University (Wis.).

February 4, 2013-February 10, 2013

Kim Van Brunt, Goalie, 5-5, Freshman, Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines
Van Brunt played 60 minutes in-goal Saturday and recorded her first collegiate shutout as the Blugolds defeated Finlandia University (Mich.) 3-0. She made 13 saves and improved to 3-0 on the season.

January 28, 2013-February 3, 2013

Hadley Cookson, Forward, 5-6, Freshman, Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka
Cookson scored two goals and picked up one assist Friday as the Blugolds fell 6-3 at the College of St. Scholastica (Minn.). She assisted on the Blugolds' opening goal and then scored a goal at 13:37 in the second period. Early in the third period, she got another goal which tied the game up at 3-3. But the Blugolds gave up three unanswered goals as the came up short. Saturday as the Blugolds tied the Saints 0-0 in overtime, Cookson started the game and finished with two shots.

January 14, 2013-January 20, 2013

Katie Ward, Defenseman, 5-7, Senior, Andover, Minn./Coon Rapids
Ward started two games this weekend against UW-Stevens Point and the Blugolds gave up just three goals over the weekend. Ward, who plays on defense, has three assists on the season, tied for sixth on the team.

December 24, 2012-January 6, 2013

Sam Knutson, Forward, 5-7, Sophomore, North St. Paul, Minn.
With the Blugolds splitting against Saint Mary's University (Minn.) this weekend, Knutson finished with two goals. Friday, Knutson scored a goal with just over four minutes to play in regulation that tied the game at 2-2. The game went into overtime but the Cardinals scored the game-winner, handing the Blugolds a 3-2 overtime loss. Saturday at home against Saint Mary's, Knutson scored the game's second goal to give Eau Claire a 2-0 lead and Blugolds went on to win 5-2. For the season, Knutson now has five goals and four assists.

December 3, 2012-December 9, 2012

Amanda Kane, Defenseman, 5-7, Sophomore, Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul
Kane scored two goals this weekend as the Blugolds pushed their winning streak to four and brought their undefeated streak to six games going back to November 10. Saturday, Kane scored the Blugolds' third goal which eventually proved to the game-winner early in the third period, as Eau Claire defeated Marian University 3-2. The goal was the first of her career with the Blugolds. Sunday she got the Blugolds going with a goal at 13:03 in the first period and Eau Claire went on to win the game over Marian 4-1.

November 26, 2012-December 2, 2012

Dani Kerr, Forward, 5-5, Senior, Little Canada, Minn./Roseville
Kerr helped the Blugolds sweep St. Norbert College this weekend. Saturday, a game the Blugolds won 4-3, Kerr assisted on the Blugolds' third goal of the game. The second period was a big one for Eau Claire as the Blugolds scored all four of their goals in that period. Sunday she scored twice to help lift the Blugolds to a 3-2 overtime victory. Kerr scored Eau Claire's first goal in the first period and late in the third period, she scored again which tied the game at two and sent it into overtime. At 2:35 in overtime, Stephanie Hatcher scored the game-winner to allow the Blugolds to stay undefeated since Nov. 10.

November 12, 2012-November 18, 2012

Paige Turner, Goalie, 5-3, Freshman, Iron River, Wis./Duluth East
Facing seventh-ranked UW-River Falls this weekend, Turner and the Blugolds tied both games, one on the road and one at home. Friday in River Falls, Turner saved 31 out of 32 shots as the Blugolds tied River Falls 1-1 in overtime. Eau Claire led most of the night but the Falcons scored the game-tying goal with less than nine minutes remaining in regulation. Saturday night in Eau Claire, Turner stopped 38 out of 40 shots as Eau Claire tied the Falcons 2-2 in overtime. The 38 saves tied for the 15th most saves in a single game in program history.

November 5, 2012-November 11, 2012

Nikki Kothenbeutel, Forward, 5-7, Junior, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice
Kothenbeutel was part of both Blugolds goals this weekend as the team hosted Adrian College (Mich.) twice. After the Blugolds narrowly fell 1-0 Friday night, they played another close game Saturday but again lost by one goal (3-2). Kothenbeutel assisted on the Blugolds' first goal of the game, 2:23 into the second period, which tied the score at one. After Adrian again took the lead later in the second period, Kothenbeutel scored her first goal of the season to tie the game back up early in the final period. But, Adrian scored one goal with less than six minutes remaining to beat the Blugolds 3-2.

October 29, 2012-November 4, 2012

Paige Turner, Goalie, 5-3, Freshman, Iron River, Wis./Duluth East
In two games this weekend, Turner stopped 59 shots as the Blugolds split with eighth-ranked UW-Superior. Friday night, the Blugolds won their first game of the season, 5-4, and Turner had 31 saves playing the entire game in-goal. Saturday, she stopped 28 shots playing the full game, but the Blugolds fell 6-1.

October 22, 2012-October 28, 2012

Taylor Bowker, Forward, 5-4, Freshman, Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti
Bowker had the Blugolds' lone goal this weekend as the team opened the season with two games against Bethel University (Minn.). Saturday, she scored her first collegiate goal at 7:09 in the third period.
