Sobotta led the field of 32 golfers at UW-Eau Claire's Spring Invite, where the Blugolds took third in the six-team field. Because of poor weather conditions, the tournament was shortened to one round on Sunday. Sobotta shot a 76 on the par-73 Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire to take the individual title.

Sobotta turned in the most impressive performance of any Blugold, shooting a 153 for the weekend. Sobotta's score of 153 was only two strokes off the leader and earned her a third place finish. She shot a 75 on the first day of competition and 78 on the second day.

Sobotta led the Blugolds this weekend at the Carleton Spring Invitational. Although the meet was shortened to one round of play, Sobotta tied for third place at the invite with a score of 83 on the par-70 course.

This weekend in the Blugolds' opening spring meet, the Warburg Spring Invite, Sobotta led the Blugolds to a third place spot. After the first day of the invite, Sobotta led the field with 75 strokes. On the second day she shot a 79, for a two-day total of 154 strokes. She tied Gustavus' Katie Tewell for top spot, but lost a playoff to finish second overall.

This weekend at the WIAC Championship, Sobotta led the Blugolds and the other conference golfers, taking first place in the two-day event. Although the Blugolds finished in fourth place overall, Sobotta was able to play consistently, shooting an 80 the first day and a 79 the second, for a two day total of 159 strokes. She finished one shot ahead of two Stevens Point golfers on the par 72, 5,848-yard course. The first place finish was her highest finish in her four year career at the Championship, with her previous best finish being a third place finish her freshman year.

Torrie Ives, Sophomore, Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild
Ives received medalist honors this weekend at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational, finishing tied for third with teammate Meghan Sobotta. Ives had the best second-day round for the Blugolds, finishing five above par with 78 strokes. She totaled 161 for the weekend. Ives score on the second day also matched the invite's first place finisher's second-day total.

This weekend Ives helped lead the Blugolds to a sixth place overall finish at the Division III Midwest Classic in Hudson. Ives completed the two day classic with 169 strokes, 84 in the first day and 85 in the second day. Ives finished only six strokes out of third place and twelve strokes from the winner, Laura Heck from St. Thomas.

Sobotta played very well this weekend at the IWU Fall Classic, shooting a 75 the first day and 73 the second day, for a total of 148 strokes. She finished second in the 124-golfer field, finishing only one stroke behind last year's DIII Ping/NGCA player of the year Katie Tewell.

For the second week in a row, Meghan Sobotta led the Blugolds, who finished ninth at the Wartburg College Invite. On day one of competition, Sobbotta shot a 76 and was tied for third place overall. On the second day, Sobotta shot an 84, for a total of 160 strokes at the invite. She ended up tied for sixth with five other golfers.

Sobotta earned medalist honors in the 18-team UW-Eau Claire Fall Invitational with scores of 74 on the par 72 Mill Run Golf Course Saturday and 84 on the par 73 Wild Ridge Golf Course Sunday for a total of 158. This is the second year in a row Sobotta received first place honors at the UWEC Fall Invite.
