Joe Meier, Sophomore, Hutchinson, Minn.
Meier helped the Blugolds go 2-1 this weekend facing in-state opponents. At No. 5 singles, Meier opened with a 6-4, 6-3 win against CJ Schwind from La Crosse on Friday and then defeated Oshkosh's Jason Alexander 6-2, 6-2 Saturday morning. Meier then beat Whitewater's Erik Scanlan 7-6, 3-6, 10-7 to finish the weekend. He finished the regular season winning seven consecutive singles matches.

Joey Minear, Freshman, Oronoco, Minn./Rochester Century
Minear went undefeated this weekend, winning two singles and two doubles matches. Against St. Scholastica on Friday, he won the No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-1 while he and partner Chris Kuna won at No. 1 doubles 8-3. The Blugolds went on to beat the Saints 8-1. Against Edgewood College on Sunday, a team the Blugolds beat 9-0, he won his No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and his No. 1 doubles match 8-3. For the season he is now 14-7 in singles play and 15-6 with partner Kuna in doubles.

Meier won his No. 5 singles match against Luther College's James Ayer on Friday, winning 6-3, 6-2. Meier is now 18-8 on the season.

Chris Kuna, Senior, Edina, Minn.
Kuna won two No. 1 singles matches and one out of two No. 1 doubles matches as the Blugolds split wins this weekend. Against Augustana (Ill.) on Friday, a team the Blugolds lost to 5-4, he won 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 in singles play while he and partner Joey Minear narrowly fell 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. Facing Macalester (Minn.) on Saturday, a team the Blugolds beat 8-1, Kuna won 6-3, 6-1 in singles play and 8-3 in doubles. For the season, he is 11-10 overall in singles play and is 13-5 with Minear in doubles competition.

Ryan Vande Linde, Sophomore, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
Vande Linde went 4-1 at No. 2 singles this week as the Blugolds finished 3-2 on their Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C. He opened with three straight victories, defeating his Allegheny, Pa. opponent 3-6, 6-4, 15-13 to start the week and followed with 6-4, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 wins over Centre College, Ky. and Nebraska Wesleyan University, respectively. After falling to St. Thomas, Minn. on the fourth day of the trip, he recovered to win his final match over Carleton College, Minn. 6-4, 6-3. For the season, he now holds a 15-5 overall singles record.

Ben Robertson, Junior, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong
Robertson was undefeated this weekend, winning No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles as the Blugolds beat NCAA Division II opponent Augustana College (S.D.) 6-3 Saturday. He picked up a 6-4, 6-1 victory on the singles side while he partnered with Florent Marco in doubles play to capture an 8-5 win. Robertson has won six straight singles matches and is now 9-1 on the season while the pair of Robertson and Marco is 1-0.

Michael Roden, Freshman, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
Roden was undefeated on the weekend as he won two No. 3 doubles matches and one No. 6 singles match, helping the Blugolds to two wins in Iowa. Against the University of Dubuque (Iowa) he won 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot and 8-3 with partner David Stingley at No. 3 doubles. The duo also won 8-3 at No. 3 doubles facing Loras College (Iowa). Roden is 6-3 in singles play this season and 5-0 with Stingley in doubles play.

Florent Marco, Junior, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
Marco and the Blugolds went undefeated this weekend in three matches, all of which the Blugolds won 9-0. In singles play, he won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 against St. Norbert and 6-2, 6-2 against Lawrence. He ended the weekend playing in the No. 1 spot against MSOE and finished with a scores of 6-3, 6-3. He also competed in one doubles match against MSOE and he and partner Zach Katz won 8-2 in the No. 3 spot. For the season, he is now 7-3 in singles competition and has won five straight. Marco is also 5-2 in doubles play, and has won four straight.

Vande Linde won both in singles and doubles play to help the Blugolds to a 7-2 victory over St. Cloud State, Minn. on Saturday. He fought hard at No. 2 singles and pulled off the 4-6 (10-2), 6-1, 1-0 victory. At No. 2 doubles, he and partner Joe Meier picked up an 8-5 win.

As the Blugolds went 2-1 this weekend, Minear was the lone Blugold to win all three of his singles matches. In the No. 4 spot against Carthage, he won 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 Friday. Saturday, he opened with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the No. 3 spot against Northwestern and closed the day at No. 1 with a 7-6, 6-1 victory over his Simpson opponent.

Meier went 2-0 in the No. 6 singles spot as the Blugolds opened the 2012 season in Iowa. He started the day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over his Coe opponent while completing the day winning 6-0, 6-0 against Westminster.

Singles: Ryan Vande Linde, Sophomore, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
At the ITA Tournament this weekend, Vande Linde made it to the round of 16, winning three rounds and beating a seeded player in the process. After a trio of victories - including a 6-3, 6-3 win over the No. 10 seed - Vande Linde also had a tight, three-set battle. Vande Linde came up one game short, falling 1-6, 6-1, 7-6.
Doubles: David Stingley, Junior, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park & Ben Robertson, Junior, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong
Stingley and Robertson won the doubles title at the Midwest Open this weekend. The Blugold pair relinquished just four games in the first two matches and won by no less than a three-game margin in each match. Robertson and Stingley completed their run with an 8-3 victory over a St. Olaf team Sunday afternoon. The duo was the third Blugold pair in the last decade to win the Midwest Open doubles competition.
