Swimming: Alex Strom, Junior, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata
Strom was runner-up in three events this weekend as the Blugolds competed at UW-Whitewater. In the 500-yard freestyle, he took second with a time of 4:57.22 and competed five minutes after the freestyle in the 200-yard breaststroke, a race he was runner-up with a time of 2:17.96. He also took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:15.58.

Competing at UW-Whitewater this weekend, Badilla won both the one and three-meter diving events. He scored 282.85 points on the three-meter while coming away with 271.45 points in the one-meter.

Swimming: Alex Card, Junior, Prior Lake, Minn.
Card won three events at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational, where the Blugolds finished in second place out of four teams. He took the top spot in the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes and also won the 200-yard individual medley. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Card came in with a time of 59.77 seconds and won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.03. In the 200-yard individual medley, Card won with a time of 1:58.44. He also swam in four relays.

Badilla won the three-meter dive and was second in the one-meter as the Blugolds took second place out of four teams at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational this weekend. He scored 488.90 on the three-meter and 432.90 on the one-meter, both of which were national qualifying scores.

Competing at the St. Thomas Invitational this weekend, where the Blugolds finished second, Card swam in seven events and set a pool and meet record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.44. He was also second in two other individual events and two relays.

Diving: Nick Badilla, Senior, Appleton, Wis./North
Badilla won both the one and three-meter diving events as the Blugolds competed at the St. Thomas Invitational on Friday and Saturday. In the three-meter dive, he set a meet record with a mark of 285.25 while scoring 247.60 in the one-meter. As a team, the Blugolds took second place.

At the Rochester Invitational this weekend, hosted by St. Cloud State University (Minn.), Strom helped the Blugolds to a fifth place finish out of eight teams. His best finish came in the 400-yard individual medley when he took seventh with a time of 4:25.76.

Swimming: Alex Card, Junior, Prior Lake, Minn.
Card was part of four wins, two individual and two relays, Saturday as the Blugolds took first place facing UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh. He won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.18 seconds and also took first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.00. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, he was part of the Blugolds' team that won with a time of 1:29.69 and swam in the 200-yard medley relay, which Eau Claire won with a time of 1:39.94. As a team, the Blugolds defeated both the Titans and Falcons.

Badilla won both the one and three-meter dives as the Blugolds competed against UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh at home Saturday. He won the one-meter event with 291.55 points, a national qualifying mark, and took first in the three-meter with a score of 313.45. As a team, the Blugolds defeated both the Titans and Falcons.

Swimming: Spencer Rose, Junior, Brookfield, Wis./Central
Rose won two events while taking second in another as the Blugolds defeated UW-La Crosse 121-120 Saturday. In the day's final event, the 800-yard freestyle relay, Rose anchored the winning team to give the Blugolds the victory over the Eagles. The relay team finished with a time of 7:17.22, more than three seconds in front of the rest of the field. He also won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.98 and was part of the second place 200-yard medley relay team that finished with a mark of 1:39.14, less than a half-second behind the winning team.

Facing UW-La Crosse on Saturday, a meet the Blugolds won 121-120, Badilla won one diving event while taking second in another. He won the three-meter with a score of 295.95 while taking second in the one-meter with a score of 230.05.

Card took second in two events as the Blugolds faced UW-Stevens Point and NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University (Minn.) on Saturday. Behind St. Cloud All-Americans, he was runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.64 seconds and in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:09.19.

In the Blugolds' season-opener on Saturday, Badilla took second in the three-meter dive and fifth in the one-meter against UW-Stevens Point and NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University (Minn.). He earned 287.55 points in the three-meter event, just five points away from the winner from St. Cloud. In the one-meter, Badilla scored 251.90 points, behind four divers from St. Cloud.
