Field: John Schuna, Jr., Hudson
Schuna set a new Eau Claire school record in the shot put competition with a throw of 17.71 meters (58-1 ') to take first place in the event at the WIAC Qualifier. The throw is the second best in the country this year and automatically qualifies him for national competition. Schuna also took first place in the discus throw with a distance of 48.09 meters (157-09). The throw provisionally qualifies him for national competition.

Track: Ben Schmiege, Sr., Madison, WI (Lakeside Lutheran)
Schmiege won the 1,500-meter run in a time of 3:58.48 at the seven-team Eau Claire Open. The time was .1 of a second off Schmiege's personal best set last year. Schmiege defeated 33 other runners in the event.
Field: Shaun Marek, Jr., Waunakee, WI
Marek set two personal records en route to winning both the long and the triple jump at the seven-team Eau Claire Open. Marek won the long jump by 11.75 inches with a leap of 21-8.75. In the triple jump Marek was even more impressive, winning the event by 13.5 inches as he covered 45-3.

Field: John Schuna, Jr., Hudson, WI
Schuna won first place in the shot put while taking second in the discus at the three-team Phil Esten Invitational. Schuna's toss of 56-8.34 eclipsed the NCAA automatic qualifying standard in the shot put and is currently the second-best outdoor throw in Division III. In the discus Schuna went 152-2 to finish in second place.

Field: Eric Johnson, So., Schofield (D.C. Everest)
Johnson won both the long jump and the triple jump in his first ever collegiate meet at the Norse Relays. He led the Blugolds to a second place finish out of 10 teams. He took first in the long jump with a distance of 22-1 ' (6.74 meters) and the triple jump with a distance of 43-6 (13.26m).

Track: Adam Koger, Fr., Eau Claire (Memorial)
Koger earned a first place finish in the 600-yard run in leading the Blugolds to a third-place finish at the Border Battle. He won the event in a time of 1:13.61.
Field: Shaun Marek, Jr., Waunakee
Marek claimed first place in the pole vault competition at the Border Battle in St. Olaf. He won the event by clearing a height of 13.50 meters (44-3').
January 26, 2004-February 1, 2004
Track: Erik Ferguson, Jr., Rochester, MN (Dover-Eyota)
Ferguson helped the Blugolds to a third place finish out of eight teams at the UW-Stout Open as he finished in the top four in two events. Ferguson took second place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.86 seconds while also claiming fourth place in the 55 meter dash, finishing in a time of 6.74 seconds.

Schuna took first place in the shot put at the Platteville Open in the Blugolds first competition of the season. In the preliminaries, Schuna posted a throw of 16.61 meters (54-06.00) to advance to the finals, where he matched his preliminary throw to take first in the event.
