Playing in two games this week, Singer helped the Blugolds to their first outright NCHA title in program history as the team split. In a 4-1 victory Saturday at UW-Superior, Singer scored the game's first goal on a power-play, 13 seconds before the end of the first period. At 7:56 in the second period, he scored what eventually proved to be the game-winner. For the season, Singer now has 18 goals, most in the NCHA, and 30 points.

Singer scored three goals this weekend to help guide the Blugolds to two wins and at least a share of the NCHA title, the first in program history. Friday, he scored the Blugolds' opening goal at 4:13 in the first period and the Blugolds went on to win the game 4-3, giving the Blugolds their first WIAC title in program history. Saturday, he again scored the game's first goal at 5:59 in the first period and scored what eventually proved to be the game-winner at 5:42 in the third period as the Blugolds beat UW-River Falls 3-2. For the season, he has 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points.

Brandon Stephenson, Goalie, 6-2, 165, Senior, Saline, Mich.
In two games this weekend, Stephenson made 61 saves as the Blugolds won against two conference opponents to take over first place in the NCHA. Friday night against second-ranked St. Norbert College, Stephenson stopped 40 shots as the Blugolds defeated the Green Knights 3-0. It was just the second time in history the Blugolds shutout St. Norbert and was the first time the Green Knights didn't scored a goal in nearly a year. Saturday at UW-Stevens Point, Stephenson made 21 saves and the Blugolds went on to win 3-2. The victory was Stephenson's 40th career win, tying for first in school history for most wins in a career with Tom Johnson (1980-84). It was also his 14th win of the season, one behind a school record for most wins in a season.

Singer helped the Blugolds to two wins this weekend as they beat UW-Superior 5-2 Friday and 3-1 Saturday. Friday, Singer recorded a hat-trick for the third time in his career. He scored the game's first two goals in the opening period to give the Blugolds a 2-0 lead. He scored his third goal of the night on an empty net with 13 seconds remaining in the contest to put the Blugolds back up by three. Singer leads the Blugolds this season in goals and points with 12 goals and 24 points. He is third on the team with 12 assists.

Singer recorded two goals this weekend as the Blugolds split at home. Friday in a 5-1 win over Saint John's University (Minn.), Singer scored at 12:07 in the second period to give the Blugolds a 3-0 advantage and recorded another goal at 11:44 in the third period to give the Blugolds a 4-1 lead. Saturday the Blugolds narrowly fell, losing just their third game of the season, as Concordia-Moorhead College (Minn.) won 2-1 in overtime. For the year he now has nine goals and 12 assists.

Olszewski had a five-point weekend as the Blugolds split against UW-Stevens Point. Friday in a 5-2 victory over the Pointers, Olszewski scored the Blugolds' first goal of the night at 8:29 in the first period on a power-play. He assisted on two Eau Claire goals in the second period, including one that eventually proved to be the game-winner. Saturday he picked up two more assists, both in the second period, on goals that helped the Blugolds to a 3-2 lead by the end of the period. But Stevens Point tied the game in the third and went on to score an overtime goal to hand the Blugolds their first loss of the year. For the season, Olszewski is fourth on the team with 14 points (five goals, nine assists).

Singer helped the Blugolds stay unbeaten on the season (9-0-1) as the team swept Concordia University (Wis.) this weekend. With Eau Claire scoring 18 goals in two games, 12 Saturday and six Sunday, Singer accumulated six points with three goals and three assists. In Saturday's 12-4 victory, which tied for the seventh most goals in school history in a single game and was the most since 1990, Singer scored the Blugolds' seventh goal at 16:40 in the second period and the 10th goal at 5:05 in the third. The goal at 16:40 came just five seconds after another Blugold goal, making it the second fastest consecutive goal by the same team in NCAA Division III history (fastest was two seconds by UW-Stout in 1976). Singer also picked up three assists Saturday. On Sunday, Singer gave the Blugolds a 3-1 lead in the second period as he scored at 8:27. For the season, he leads the Blugolds with seven goals and 17 points, which ranks second best in the NCHA and tied for 19th most points in the nation.

Olszewski helped the Blugolds remain undefeated on the season (7-0-1) as he scored three of the Blugolds' eight goals against third-ranked St. Norbert College this weekend. Friday in a 5-3 win for Eau Claire, Olszewski got the Blugolds on the board in the second period at 1:41 to bring the Blugolds within one goal. The Blugolds then scored two more to take a 3-2 lead and never trailed the rest of the night. Saturday, in a 3-3 overtime tie against the Green Knights, Olszewski again scored the Blugolds' first goal of the night at 9:51 in the first period to tie the score and then scored again at 6:59 in the second to tie the game at 2-2. Picking up three points this weekend, the Blugolds are now in first place in the NCHA with a 5-0-1 record. This is the first time since 1982 the Blugolds haven't lost a game through their first eight to start the year, and it was the first time since 1995 St. Norbert didn't win at least one game of a weekend series against Eau Claire.

Bennis helped lead the Blugolds to their sixth straight win as the team defeated the College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) twice. Friday in a 5-1 victory over the Saints, Bennis scored the Blugolds' second goal of the night, which eventually proved to be the game-winner, midway through the second period. He also scored the Blugolds' final goal and assisted on the team's first goal. Saturday in a closer game, Bennis scored the team's second goal of the night late in the first period and later scored on an empty net with 12 seconds remaining in the game as the Blugolds won 7-5. He also assisted on the Blugolds' third goal of the game. Bennis totaled 11 shots on the weekend, second most on the team. For the season, he has four goals and two assists, all of which came this weekend.

McCabe helped the Blugolds stay perfect on the season as the team won twice this weekend to push the season record to 4-0. He scored two goals and picked up two assists against MIAC opponents on the road. Facing Hamline University (Minn.) on Friday, McCabe scored the Blugolds' third goal of the game at 16:05 in the second period and assisted on the team's fourth goal. Eau Claire went on to win that game 5-4. Saturday in a 3-2 win over Bethel University (Minn.), McCabe got the Blugolds on the board as he scored at 8:59 in the first period and then assisted on what proved to be the game-winner at 19:30 in the second period. McCabe leads the Blugolds this season with seven points (three goals, four assists).

Stephenson helped the Blugolds to two wins over UW-Stout to open the season this weekend. Playing 120 minutes, he stopped 52 shots and gave up just three goals. Friday, in a 4-2 win over the Blue Devils, Stephenson recorded 30 saves while giving up just two goals in the third period. Saturday he stopped 22 shots, giving up just one goal in the first period as the Blugolds went on to win 4-1.
